First annual information and exchange meeting between all sport stakeholders in the Principality
The Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee held its first annual information and exchange meeting with all sports stakeholders in the Principality on February 27, 2017 at the auditorium of the technical and hotel school in Monaco.
During this meeting, which was joined by the Department of the Interior of the Prince’s Government, the President of the Committee, Mr. Philippe Orengo, presented all the international and national components of the legal framework that resulted from the missions devolved to this national anti-doping organization and the reciprocal obligations they create in the Committee and the sports community, terms and conditions for effective collaboration between all the parties concerned and, lastly, the ways in which the strategic priority will be taken for improving the compliance rate of the Principality with international commitments made under the UNESCO International Convention against Doping in Sport, the Anti-Doping Convention of the Council of Europe and the World Anti-Doping Program including the World Anti-Doping Code.
Furthermore, Mr. Patrice Cellario, Government Counselor-Minister of the Interior, firstly presented a communication on the coordination of sports events organized in the Principality and, secondly, on the development of the sport bill by highlighting the approach taken, the issues identified and the policy options considered.
