The 2017 Monaco ePrix: cooperation between the MAC and the Monaco Automobile Club

The MAC present at the 2017 Monaco ePrix in the Principality

All official sports events organized under the aegis of the International Automobile Federation (IAF) are likely to give rise to a doping control.

In this general context, for the 2nd edition of the Monaco ePrix and for this fifth round of the 2016-2017 FIA Formula E Championship which took place in the Principality on Saturday 13 March 2017, the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee (CMA) and the Monaco Automobile Club (ACM) developed a cooperation plan which resulted in the support of three escorts whose main role is to accompany the athletes designated for the controls and to notify sampling operations.

The Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee would like to thank the Monaco Automobile Club, and more particularly its President, Mr. Michel Boéri, and his Vice-President, Dr. Robert Scarlot who is also President of the MAC Medical Commission, for the trust placed in its escort team, for the quality of the special welcome given to its members and is delighted with this cooperation which expresses the common commitment of our two institutions for a clean sport.
